Branched Oak, 2½ mi. N of Malcolm via S-55M, is the largest of the Salt Valley Lakes near Lincoln, encompassing 5,595 acres with 1,800 acres of water.
The area has 4 boat ramps, fish cleaning stations, private marina and concession, several miles of hiking, biking and horse trails, including an area where camping is allowed with horses. A nationally recognized dog trial area is located there.
