This quiet campground is located in the Mt Hood National Forest at 3300 feet of elevation. Little Crater Lake is a cold, crystal clear, blue lake located 300 feet down an accessible trail from this 15-site campground. The spring-fed lake is 45 deep and less than 100 feet in diameter. It is not suitable for fishing, swimming or boating, but is very scenic. The surrounding meadow is a great place for observing birds and other wildlife. Larger Timothy Lake is located about 10 miles away, and is suitable for boating, fishing and swimming.

The small version of the famous lake to the south is considered a geologic oddity, possibly created by artesian water forcing its way through the soft volcanic rock, creating a “blowhole.” Excellent huckleberry picking in the vicinity.
