Canal Creek is a place with rustic appeal, for campers who really want to get away. There are 2 group sites in this area. A small stream runs through the campground, separating the two sites. They are located 4 miles on a narrow road off Hwy. 34.

#1- Canal Creek, has a large open field with a pavilion, tables , and a large fire ring, holding up to 100 people. The site is available by fording a small stream. Parking is limited to 20 vehicles. Not recommended for motorhomes or large trailers.

#2-Alsea, has 10 separate campsites and a central area with tables and a large fire ring, holding 50 people. A small stream flows around the campsites. RV’s welcome. Parking is limited to 10 vehicles.

There is no water or electricity available at either sites. There is plenty of open space for playing around, feel free to bring sports equipment to play. Other activities include fishing, catching crawdads, hiking, tubing and swimming.

Reservations can be made mid-May through Labor Day weekend. Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance, but they must be made at least 4 days before your intended arrival date.

Fees: Group site 1 (1 large site) $115 – $165

Group site 2 (11 individual sites rented as one group site) $17/Night for single unit, $6/Night for extra vehicle (2011)

Directions: East of Waldport, Oregon off Highway 34. From Waldport, Oregon drive 7 miles east on Highway 34. Turn right on Canal Creek Road. Drive 4 miles to the campground.
