About: This primitive camp is located in a nicely wooded area along the banks of the Chauga River, a popular fishing site. During big-game and turkey hunting seasons, the campground is opened to hunters. During the rest of the year, the camp is available for group reservations. Families like to reserve the camp for reunions, cookouts, and campouts. The Chattoogga River and commercial river outfitters are within 15 minutes. Site amenities include a chemical toilet, direct access to the Chauga River and primitive camping.

Restrictions: Maximum stay limit is 14 days. Site fee is $30/day. Cassidy Bridge will be closed and locked with a combination lock. The combination for the lock will be given to you upon confirmation. Please call the office ahead of time prior to coming in for a reservation at 864-638-9568 to verify the combination lock. Hours of operation are Mon – Fri during office hours.

Directions: Drive 1/8 mile north of the Andrew Pickens Ranger Station. Turn left onto Whetstone Road. Turn left onto Cassidy Bridge Road and follow all the way to Cassidy Bridge Primitive Camp on the left.
