About: Schumaker Campground sits on the edge of Twin Lakes near the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. It features one host site, 16 campsites, two vault toilets and two handicap accessible sites. It is located near the Twin Lakes Trailhead. There are no motorized boats allowed on Twin Lakes. The road is narrow, rough, and fairly steep in some places. Please call the Darby Ranger Station for more information about road conditions. Campground can accommodate RV’s or trailers to 55 feet.

Restrictions: No motorized use on the lakes. Camping limited to 14 consecutive days. Quiet hours: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pets must be leashed. No garbage service so pack it in/pack it out.
Directions: From Darby, MT travel 7 miles north on Highway 93. Turn west (left) on Lost Horse Road FS 429 and travel approximately 18 miles. Take the north fork (right) at the Lost Horse Cabin onto FS 5605 and follow approximately 2 miles to the campground. Forest Service Road #429 can be extremely rough due to many potholes and rocks. Recommend high clearance vehicles.
