I wanted to write a review of the camping cabins to help make this a more enjoyable stay for future visitors. We stayed at the cabins in May 2011. Take DEET or other tick/insect repellant and use it BEFORE you get out of your car. We had many tiny ticks. The cabins are very rustic and were built in the 1930's. Although there are beds with mattresses in the cabins you should take a foam pad or single bed size air matress. The matresess are VERY hard and uncomfortable unless you are used to sleeping on the floor. The beds are attached to the walls and right against the windows (large screened/slatted shutters) so be prepared for bugs and dampness. There is one outlet and a single overhead light so bring an extension cord and multi-outlet if you need to run fans or charge cell phones, etc. Sleeping in the cabin was alot like sleeping in a shed with windows which is OK if you are prepared for that. The restroom near our cabin was very old and unisex and frankly - nasty. We walked the extra distance to the restrooms near the kitchen/dining building. That restroom also has nice showers and are separate for Men and Women. The kitchen building, dining areas and group meeting buildings seemed adequate for group meals and activities.
