About: Klahanie is located on the South Fork Calawah River in a forest canopy typical of a temperate coastal rainforest, with spectacular natural features, such as old growth spruce over 8 in diameter, hanging mosses and a lush carpet of wood sorel and sword fern. Klahanie provides a beautiful, inexpensive base camp to explore the unique shops and calendar events of Forks, as well as many spectacular areas around Forks, including the Pacific Ocean coast, the Olympic Rain Forest, and LaPush cultural center for the Quileute Indians. CAUTION: Children should always be supervised around water. In recent years the river has eroded its bank.
