About: Twin Lakes was built in 1976 by my father, Lamar Pendley. He and my mother, Helon (center in the picture) are now retired and spend much time traveling in their converted Prevost bus. I, Russ, run the campground now with the help of Jo (not available for the picture). When there is time to do so, I restore vintage cars, bikes and hotrods. I am currently restoring a 1968 Chevelle. “Bench racers are welcome”.

Twin Lakes has 13 acres of water for catch and release fishing, trophy Bass are not uncommon. We have about a dozen premium sites, which are all full hookup, very large and most are quite private. We have a about 120 standard sites and the vast majority are full hookup. We have a dump station for the convenience of our campers and “dump fee for non-guests”. We also have horse shoes, park swings and picnic tables for your use and enjoyment. We have propane sales on site Monday – Friday. A laundromat and a grocery store are only about a mile away. There are several malls and outlets within a 30 minute drive of Twin Lakes for your shopping pleasure. The “Gold Town” of Dahlongea is only about 35 miles away where you can grub for gems or “pan for gold”.

The Dutch village of Helen is only about an hour away. It has every type of knick knack shop imaginable as well as a horse drawn carriage ride through town. It is on a lazy river with tubing for the kids! Twin Lakes is centrally located and in the North Atlanta area, close to the towns of Cumming, Alpharetta, Roswell, Gainsville, Norcross, Duluth, Canton and Buford.

We run a clean, quiet, family oriented park where we can make certain that you feel “at home”.
