About: Bobby Brown is now a State Outdoor Recreation Area. Boat ramps are open year-round, and the campground is open seasonally (March 15 – September 15). Camping is self-reservation only on a first-come, first-served basis. Electrical hook-ups, a comfort station with hot showers, and dump station are available. The recreation area provides no on-site ranger, but law enforcement personnel make regular rounds. The nearest location for ice and sundries is at the Quick Stop, 10-miles northwest on Calhoun Falls Highway in Elberton.
