Checkout one of the many music festivals or special events. Set up camp here, and you’re just 12 miles from downtown and the soaring Gateway Arch. Checkout the St. Louis Zoo. It one of the best in the country and its free. The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center enthralls with tales from the 200-year-old expedition. Green thumbs will be equally enamored with the Missouri Botanical Garden. There is so much to do you may have to stay longer. At the well-shaded campground, swim in the pool, romp on the playground or check out the jumping pillow, kids love it! Directions
From IL 55S or IL 70W take 270W to Exit 3. From IL 64W or MO 55N take 255N to 270W to Exit 3. From MO 44E or MO 64E or MO 70E, take 270N to Exit 3A in Illinois. From Exit 3A turn left at the stoplights. Then go 1/2 mile on W Chain of Rocks Road. From exit 3 turn left at the stoplight stay in the left hand lane at the next stoplight you will be at Rt3 & W Chain of Rocks Rd, turn left. Travel 1/2 mile down the road watch for the sign on the right side of the road. Turn on Dial Dr and follow the road back to the KOA.
