About: The Village of Bear Lake Michigan is located in the northern half of Manistee County, approximately 15 mile north of Manistee and 45 miles south of Traverse City. Bear Lake is located just five miles from Lake Michigan shores. A quiet community surrounds the 1,800 acre lake where fishing, swimming, sailing, and boating are enjoyed.
