About: At Bay Furnace Campground you can enjoy the scenic view of Lake Superior with its spectacular sunrises, sunsets, and occasional northern light displays. This convenient location makes it a perfect site for the traveler who would like to camp overnight. It is also a perfect place to stay while enjoying the recreational opportunities available in the Munising area.

Among many others are the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Alger Underwater Preserve, the boat cruises, Miner`s Castle, and many delightful waterfalls. Bay Furnace Day Use Site offers spectacular views Grand Island National Recreation Area. The very large day use area has several picnic sites and access to a rocky beach along the lake.

Directions: From the village of Christmas about 5 miles west of Munising on M-28 drive west 0.3 mile on M-28 to the campground road. Turn right ( north) and drive to the campground.
