We’re the place to stay on the Gunflint Trail, on the South shore of Gunflint Lake next door to Gunflint Lodge. Great for family gatherings, fishing vacations or simply to get away, we’re family and pet friendly and offer a variety of accommodations.
We’re a smaller resort, open year round with Northwoods cabins and cottages. We offer camping cabins and campsites for RV’s or tent camping in the summer. We’re a little harder to find since we’re smaller and can’t advertise with the big boys. Often people come in for ice cream, or supplies from the grocery store only to say “I never knew you were here!” Once guests find us they usually return with friends. Many feel as though this is a home away from home.
We offer access to a variety of outdoor experiences like hiking, wildlife viewing and photography, berry picking, fishing, canoeing & kayaking and help you feel comfortable trying these things on your own.
Come enjoy the spring thaw, fishing the long days of summer, the fall Colors hiking and hunting, or winter’s cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, or snowmobiling.

Directions
From Duluth, Minnesota travel north along the shore of Lake Superior on Highway 61. Two hours (110 miles) Northeast of Duluth is the town of Grand Marais (grand ma-ray).
As you pass through Grand Marais watch for the left hand turn for the Gunflint Trail (Cook County Road 12). It’s 43 miles to the S. Gunflint Lake side road. There’s a large sign at the entrance of our road. Turn right (off of pavement onto gravel) then travel about 1 mile. You’ll pass by Gunflint Lodge, we’ll be the next property on the left.
