About: Deer Lake campground, located on the west shore of Cut Foot Sioux Lake, is split into two separate loops. North Deer Lake Campground has 17 campsites, while South Deer Lake has 31 campsites. A boat ramp is centrally located between the two loops and provides access to Cut Foot Sioux via Biauswah Creek. Cut Foot Sioux is known for it’s excellent walleye fishing. There is a sandy beach located in North Deer, with a smaller beach at South Deer. The Cut Foot Sioux Trail runs along the campground’s edge and provides access to the Simpson Creek Trail System. Many sites are reservable and the rest are first come-first serve.
