About: Crystal Lake Campground located on Crystal Lake in the shadow of Mt. Harlow at an elevation of 5,700 feet. The camp is situated in a delightfully thick stand of spruce. The 23 campsites are large, secluded and widely spaced. The campground is attractive with several hiking trails and a picturesque lake, well suited for canoeing.

Bring a tube, raft or canoe. This is an excellent family campground not only because of the lake, but also the large network of trails. A nominal fee charged per day per site. Limit of 10 people per site. Please limit your stays to 16 days.

Directions: From Lewistown, take US Highway 87 north 8.7 miles to Forest Access sign (Crystal Lake Road). Turn left onto Crystal Lake Road (dirt) and go 5.3 miles to a Y intersection. Bear left and go 3.9 miles to Recreation Area sign. Turn left at sign, continuing on Crystal Lake Road, and go 12.7 miles to campground. Crystal Lake Road varies from a narrow two-lane road to single-lane. The last 5.7 miles are paved.
