With pine covered mountains on every side and the Rio Fernando de Taos running through the campground, it’s nice and cool on the hottest of summer days.
In July and August there is a gathering of wood carvers from Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Bring your knife and come join us! We have a double wide covered craft area with plenty of room.
There is a short hiking trail starting at one end of the grounds going up the mountain and coming down at the other end of the park. Also, there is a 3 mile hike near the park by Devisadero trail #108.
Bird watching is a favorite pass time and excellent fishing is near by. Other animals also frequent the park. Even an occasional bear!
The Viet Nam Memorial is down the road east of us on 64 and the Enchanted Circle is a nice day trip. There is something going on in Taos almost every weekend. Come relax and enjoy what the area has to offer. This is a really neat place to spend a day, a month or how about all summer?
