This campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in Oregon in terms of non vacant sites. Try to get here early on Friday or before, if you are coming for the weekend. On the Metolius Arm of Lake Billy Chinook, this campground offers fishing opportunities for trophy bull trout. There is a boat launch area within this campground.

On the shore of Lake Billy Chinook at 2000 feet elevation, Perry South features 64 camping sites, most first come, first served. However, we have put some of these sites into the reservation system starting in 2005. This campground is one of the most popular Forest Service campgrounds in Oregon in terms of non vacant sites. Try to get here early on Friday or before, if you are coming for the weekend. During Memorial Weekend and during the heart of the season, after July 4, campers often come on Wednesday to get the best sites. The campground has pump water. A day use area is available as well as a boat launch and a fish cleaning station.
