Fall Creek Reservoir is a prime recreation area surrounded by day-use parks and a campground. Its a hot spot for jetskiers and waterskiers. Fishing includes bass, catfish and rainbow trout.
Cascara campground, on the upper end of the Fall Creek arm of the reservoir, is just 30 minutes from Eugene/Springfield. Its a cozy, private place for a weekend retreat or mini-vacation during the week, when it is exceptionally quiet and serene. The 47 primitive campsites are tucked away amid towering Douglas-fir trees, and perfect for tenterswho remember that there are times when roughing it means just that. Every site comes equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. A swimming area, complete with a deck, is located at the edge of the campground. The boat ramp is nearby, too. The campground is open May 1 to September 30.
