Welcome to the unique and picturesque Badlands of South Dakota! The Badlands are not only known for their beauty but this area is rich in fossils, fantastic sunrises, sunsets and clear blue skies that stretch from horizon to horizon.
This area is used primarily for ranching and therefore was shared by the cowboy and the Native American Indian. It was the Wild West where frontiersmen struggled to survive. The winters are cold and brutal and the summers are gloriously warm and dry with humidity normally less than 20%.
Our family homesteaded in this area in 1905 so as our guest you will feel not only the open and secluded feeling as the cowboy did but hear about the Old West as it really was. We still operate a 200 head cattle ranch so western hospitality is not an advertising slogan, it’s a way of life.
Our goal is to make your trip to the Badlands one of most enjoyable and memorable trips ever. In addition to a very scenic and comfortable place to stay we offer a swimming pool, arcade room, souvenir shop, groceries, ice, camping supplies, petting zoo with a live buffalo-“Henrietta”, ice-cold beer, fresh buffalo burgers and Angus beef burgers.
