About: Rocky Point Campground is located off U.S. 59, just north of Wright Patman Dam. The park is located on a 30,000 surface acre man made lake, within the piney woods of northeast Texas. With close proximity to Texarkana, the area offers a variety of activities which include shopping, movies, restaurants, and local historical sites.
Shreveport, LA has river boat gambling, horse races, and numerous festivals. During the winter many birds migrate to the lake some of these include Bald Eagles, Pelicans, various ducks and others. There are some poisonous snakes in the area. Open year round, Rocky Point offers a complete range of services to the camper and is one of the most extensively developed areas on the lake. Park facilities are located in a mixed hardwood-pine forest of the southwestern United States.
