About: This campground is at the highest elevation in the Ogden District at 9,000 feet. The individual campsites are surrounded by spruce and Douglas fir stands, adding their fresh scent to the clear, cool air. The campground usually opens July 1st.
Monte Cristo has two group areas (site 26 and 27) available by reservation.
Popular local recreation activities include hiking, horseback riding and ATVing (Horses are not allowed within the campground and you must trailer your ATV one mile or more).
This campground has sites that remain open through the elk and deer hunting season.

Directions: To get to Monte Cristo, travel Highway 39, a Utah State Scenic Highway, toward Woodruff, Utah. The road signs on SR 39 in the Ogden Valley say “Monte Cristo”. This is the name of the general area. The campground is on the north side of the general Monte Cristo area. Watch for the campground sign along the east side the road.
