About: Ryan Park Campground was the site of a CCC camp in the 1930’s and a prisoner of war camp for Italians and Germans during WWII. Although little remains of either historical camp, interpretive signs describe the historic features. The campground is located on the Snowy Range Scenic Byway and provides paved access to the Snowy Range high country including Mirror Lake Picnic area. Facilities include: 49 campsites (13 RV pull throughs), group campsite, picnic tables, toilets, drinking water, and fire grates, and trash recptacles. The campground is an ideal location to camp for vacationers traveling through the area or for those that want to spend an extended stay and enjoy great access to many outdoor activities. The historic Brush Creek Visitor Center is located 2.5 miles west of the campground and can provide information on miscellaneous outdoor recreation opportunities.
