Hood View Campground is located on the shore of Timothy Lake in the shadow of Oregon’s Mount Hood. Timothy Lake was created in 1950 as a storage reservoir for the Oak Grove Hydroelectric Project. It is one of the larger lakes in the Mount Hood National Forest. At 3400ft elevation, the lake sits in a beautiful forested setting that offers spectacular views of Mt. Hood, several trails and great fishing.
The campground has paved parking spurs, accessible vault toilets, 43 standard campsites without electricity, and on-site staff. If this campground is full, try other Timothy Lake Campgrounds: Oak Fork, Gone Creek, Pine Point, or Clackamas Lake Campground.

Directions: From Sandy, Oregon, travel east on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road (Rd 42). Turn right on Skyline Road, travel south 9 miles. Turn right on FS Road 57, west 2 miles, turn right at the Hood View Campground entrance sign.
