Located in the scenic Ohio Valley / Geauga Lakes region (NE Ohio) Kool Lakes is definitely a long way from my Antarctic home, but it has become my favorite vacation destination when I need to get away from the snow and ice.
This peaceful Ohio campground is set in the woods and meadows around three spring-fed lakes, so I’m never far from a place to get wet and “keep kool.”
The pristine 1.5 acre swimmin’ lake is the perfect place to play on the water and catch a few rays on the sandy beach. The campground’s facilities, including the covered pavilion and sand volleyball courts, are close to all the water fun. Anglers will want to bring their tackle to do a little fishing on the well-stocked 17.5 acre lake. Fish from the dock, launch your boat, or rent a rowboat, canoe or paddleboat and start reelin’ ’em in.

From the intersection of US 422 and Highway 282 in Parkman, Ohio, travel 1/2 mile south on Highway 282. Kool Lakes Family Campground is located on your left.
