About: At Pioneer Village Family Campground there is plenty to do. Better yet, we are only 20 minutes away from everything in the North Carolina Piedmont. Step back into the rural life of the early 1900’s at the Horne Creek Living Historical Farm in Shoals. Take a day trip to Winston-Salem and take a tour of the Reynolds House or visit the town of Old Salem restored to 18th century perfection. Drive to Mt. Airy, the hometown of Andy Griffith and the inspiration for fictional Mayberry. Visit Andy Griffith Playhouse or go shopping at the outlet mall.

Directions:
From Winston-Salem, traveling US 52 North: Take the Pinnacle exit (#129), and go west on Perch Road. Follow 1 & 1/2 miles to Stoney Ridge Road, then turn left on Shoals Road. Continue to Ellis Hardy Road and turn left at John Scott Road. The park is 1/10 miles. That’s all there is to it!

From Mt. Airy, traveling on US 52 South: Take the Pilot Mountain exit (#134), and go west on 268. Turn left at the first blacktop road (Shoals Road) (a block past the Hess Station), follow for 7 miles. Turn right on Ellis Hardy Road and follow signs to Pioneer Village Campground.
