About: Nestled in an ancient redwood grove 2 miles East of Guerneville, along the Russian River, is a special place, a place where time stands still, a place where memories are made, a place where families come to relax and forget about the chaos of modern life. That place is Schoolhouse Canyon Campground.
Schoolhouse Canyon Campground is a family campground. The park is run by the same family that has worked this land for over 150 years. The park has been in continuous operation since the 1960s and is part of the original Ridenhour ranch, which has remained in the family since the 1850s. Please come and relax, camp with us and enjoy the beautiful Russian River valley.
We are a perfect home base for wine tasting, canoeing, bicycle tours or siting around a campfire and tell stories, swim in the river, go fishing and have fun. You wont find a television here and we dont allow generators. This is a true heritage park, one of the last real tent campgrounds on the Russian River.

Directions: Located 12 miles West of 101 on River Road. We are 1.5 miles West of Hacienda Bridge, and 2.5 miles East of Guerneville on the North side of River Road.
