Hunters come to Bonny Lake for deer (draw permit only), turkey (draw permit only), waterfowl, dove, pheasant, quail, rabbit and squirrel. Hunting and fishing licenses, as well as off-highway vehicle, boat and snowmobile registrations are available at the park. Located in the South Republican River valley with thousands of trees, Bonny Lake State Park offers a shady retreat from the grasslands of the high plains. Camping is available year-round and Bonny is the perfect destination for that first and last trip of the year. The park also has excellent wildlife and bird watching.

Bonny Lake has four campgrounds: East Beach, Foster Grove, North Cove, and Wagon Wheel. There are 190 campsites for your enjoyment. Sites within each campground can accommodate tents, motor homes, pick-up campers or trailers. Campers are limited to one camping unit and one tent or two tents with a maximum of six people per campsite.
