About: The campsite is considered “primitive,” designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and table. In addition, vault toilets, and drinking water are available.
The campground has six horse campsites, picket lines, vault toilet, shaded campsites, picnic tables, and a hand-pumped well. It allows for portable corrals. 5 camp sites, 6 horse sites.
All sites are on a first-come, first-served basis for a fee.
Reno Horse Campground offers 17 miles of horseback riding trail and hiking trails in the summer and Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling trails in the winter. No ATV use is allowed and no bike trails are offered in this unit.
Horseback riding trails are open May 1st – November 1st.
Communication is limited and the trail system allows for multiple uses in some areas.
Directions: From Reno (on State Hwy. 26) go (W) on gravel township road 0.25 mi. to parking lot.
