NOTE: the forest service web page for this campground states both that there is “no water” and “potable water is available” which is obviously an inconsistency.
This campground is located on the western arm of the Wickiup Reservoir and offers bird watching and fishing opportunities. This campground provides seclusion as it is rarely busy. There is a boat launch area within this campground.
The best thing I can say about North Davis is that if you camp here you will probably have no neighbors. Rarely are more than two or three sites taken at any time, even on the 4th of July. If you do come here the first thing to realize is that the campground sign is on the opposite side of the road from the campground. The area is on a creek going into Wickiup Lake on the east side of the Cascade Lake Hwy. The sites are isolated from one another. There is a boat ramp that goes into North Davis Creek giving easy access to Wickiup Reservoir and the sites are priced as low as they get. There is no water, so bring your own drinking water.
