Camp Sherman is the first campground that you come to after going through the town of Camp Sherman. Like other nearby campgrounds it is located right on the river. This campground has a picnic shelter and offers opportunities for fishing and hiking.
If you haven’t visited the Metolius River area you haven’t seen Oregon. The river springs from its source full blast. When you camp here make sure you visit the source referred to as the Head of the Metolius. A bicycle is suggested as the best way to visit the area. Fly fishing only is allowed on the Metolius. Camp Sherman is available for camping with reduced fees after the end of the season, but with reduced facilities (no garbage pick-up or available water). Camp Sherman Store is 0.5 miles away.
