Scout Lake is popular with swimmers seeking to escape the hot weather of the high desert of Central Oregon. The large day use area with picnic tables and parking for 50 vehicles helps make this area accessible to people interested in making Scout Lake their group campground or family meeting place. The large beach front is just 50 yards away from the parking lot. Scout Lake is in a mixed-conifer forest. Suttle Lake is about 1 mile away, and offers fishing, waterskiing, and boating.

Directions: From Sisters, travel 13.2 miles northwest on Hwy 20, then 1.3 miles west on Forest Road 2070, and then 0.8 miles south on Forest Road 2066.
Group Camping: There are 10 sites at this campground. Site #6 is a single family site, while 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 7, 8 are doubles. Sites 1, 2 and 9 are triples. There are three vault toilets and a gravity fed water system. Alternately, the whole campground can be rented to accomodate up to 100 people.
