On north edge of the Mill Creek Wilderness, this campground features two large areas for rustic camping. South of the campground is the Lucky Strike Thunderegg Mining Claim which is open to the public. Rustic camping is available in two large areas.

Directions: From Prineville: Travel north on N. Main Street to the forest boundary and Forest Road 27. Continue on Forest Road 27 to the end of pavement. Continue on the dirt road to Forest Road 27-500, then turn left, cross the cattle guard and continue going downhill to the campground.
