This developed campground is the highest in elevation on the district, which gives the area a mountainous feel. A forest of subalpine fir, mountain hemlock, and bear grass surround the lake and make a picturesque setting for stunning views of the Three Sisters on clear days. Access to Mt. Washington Wilderness is in close proximity. There is potential for heavy mosquitoes in July.
