A small flat adjacent to the Middle Fork of the Willamette River, Camper’s Flat is a small but pretty campground. The river drowns out the sound of the traffic on the adjacent Road 21. There is an interpretive sign about the Oregon Central Military Wagon Road in the campground. Fishing is good with easy access to the water’s edge. One can expect to catch Rainbow or Cutthroat Trout. Young’s Rock Trailhead is across FS Road 21 from the campground’s entrance and is very popular with mountain bike riders.

Directions: 23 miles south of Oakridge along the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. From Oakridge, proceed 2 miles east on Hwy 58 to Kitson Springs Road. Continue on Kitson Springs Road for 0.5 miles to FS Road 21. Follow FS Road 21 for 20 miles to Campers Flat Campground.
