Sand Prairie Campground is located in a mixed stand of Douglas fir, Western hemlock, cedar, dogwood and hazelnut. The 27-mile Middle Fork Trail begins at the south end of the campground. Fishing is good at Sand Prairie where one can expect to catch rainbow and cutthroat trout in the Middle Fork.

Directions: 14 miles south of Oakridge on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. From Oakridge, follow Hwy 58 east for 2 miles to Kitson Springs Road. Continue on Kitson Springs Road for 0.5 miles to FS Road 21. Proceed on FS Road 21 for 11 miles to Sand Prairie Campground.
