Located at the end of a narrow winding forest road, the Boulder Park Campground receives visitors escaping the rising summer heat. The campground is adjacent to the Wild and Scenic Eagle Creek offering beautiful views of the nearby Eagle Cap Wilderness and Wallowa Mountains. Developed as a horse camp for visitors using the wilderness trails, each campsite has facilities for holding stock overnight.

All visitors to the Eagle Cap Wilderness must obtain a Wilderness Visitor Permit before entering the area. Only one permit is required per group and there is no fee for the permits. Registration and Permit boxes are located at each trailhead near the information board. The permits are self-issued.

From Baker City, Oregon head north on Interstate 84 for 5 miles to exit 298; Turn right off Interstate 84 to State 203 Highway and travel 18 miles to Medical Springs, Oregon; In Medical Springs turn right on Big Creek Road and go 1.5 miles to Forest Road 67; Turn left on Forest Road 67 and go about 14 miles to Forest Road 77; Turn left on Forest Road 77 and go 0.5 miles to Forest Road 7755; Turn right onto FSR 7755 to go up Eagle Creek; The campground is about 3.5 miles up Forest Road 7755.
From La Grande, Oregon go approximately 25 miles southeast on Oregon State 203 to Medical Springs, Oregon; In Medical Springs turn left on Big Creek Road and go 1.5 miles to Forest Road 67; Turn left on Forest Road 67 and go about 14 miles to Forest Road 77; Turn left on Forest Road 77 and go 0.5 miles to Forest Road 7755; Turn right on FSR 7755 to go up Eagle Creek; The Campground is about 3.5 miles up Forest Road 7755.
