Welch Creek Campground has long been a favorite gathering spot for family reunion camp-outs and group hunting trips. The campground’s open areas and easy parking access make it ideal for such events. It features 6 campsties and accessible toilet facilities. There is no potable water or garbage service, so please pack your garbage home. This campground offers hunting, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, sight-seeing, photography and a trailhead for the Desolation OHV trail system.
Fees: An overnight camping fee of $8.00 will be charged for single sites. An additional $5 fee will be charged for each vehicle exceeding the maximum two-vehicle-per-site allowance. There is also a group site which costs $25.00 per night (no extra vehicle charge). (2011)
