About: Dean Gardner Campground is located next to Pine Valley Reservoir in the scenic Pine Valley Recreation Area at an elevation of 6,900 feet. The area is forested with Ponderosa pines, which offer partial shade. Mountain mahogany, juniper, and sagebrush dot the landscape. Hiking and horse trails are abundant in Pine Valley, and vary in length from two to 35 miles. Some trails allow mountain biking. Shoreline fishing for rainbow trout is a popular activity on the lake. Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness is adjacent.

This newly renovated campground contains several single and double-family sites, all of which are ADA-accessible, with picnic tables, fire rings with grills, utility tables, tent pads, and concrete site pads. Vault toilets, potable water, and garbage service are provided. A campground host is located on-site; firewood is available for purchase. Roads and parking spurs are paved. A cafe and showers are available three miles away in the small town of Pine Valley.

Fees: $12.00 per night for single sites, $22.00 per night for double sites, $6.00 per night for extra vehicle (2011)

Water: Water is available at the campground between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
