About: Lower Bowns Campground is located on the east side of beautiful Boulder Mountain on the shore of Lower Bowns Reservoir at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Pinyon pine and juniper cover the site, offering limited shade. Popular activities in the area include boating, fishing, canoeing, hiking, biking, hunting, and sightseeing.
This campground contains three reservable, ADA-accessible sites: one group site can accommodate up to 50 people, and two single sites can accommodate up to 10 people each. Additional single sites are available on a first come, first served basis. Vault toilets are provided but no water is available. Please bring your own. Roads and parking spurs throughout the site are gravel.
Fees: Single sites are $8.00 per night, $4.00 per night for each additional vehicle. $4.00 per night per vehicle in the overflow area. $35.00 per night for the group area (2011)
