About: 8600 ft. elevation. 11 single sites and 2 group areas which can accomodate up to 100 campers, among the cool pines are a welcome refuge from the heat of the surrounding desert. Fishing in North Creek and Taylor Springs, also in nearby Monticello Lake. Campground makes a great jumping-off point for a thorough exploration of the wonders of the surrounding country, from historic sites and scenic drives, to hikes which lead to expansive vistas. Wildlife in the area include birds, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, wild turkeys and black bear. There is a county fair every August. Evening programs provided at the Edge of the Cedars Museum in Blanding. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.
