The remote desert canyon is forested with oak, maple, and juniper trees, which offer partial shade. The multi-use Stansbury Front Trail and Medina Flat Trail begin nearby, offering access to the rugged Deseret Peak Wilderness.
This primitive campground is strung out over a mile-long stretch of road. One walk-to group site, ideal for family reunions or church groups, is available for up to 50 people, with picnic tables and fire rings. A footbridge must be crossed to access the site pad from the parking area. Vault toilets are provided, but no water or garbage service is available on-site. Roads and parking spurs are dirt.
