About: This is a fee campground. Fee envelopes and a collection box are provided near the entrance. Concessionaires manage the campground. The concessionaire visits weekly from mid-May to Labor Day weekend. This area is accessible for a season that varies between April 20 and October 20 due to snow levels. Big Eddy used to be a water stop for the old steam engines. The foundation of the old water tower can still be seen across the river. Big Eddy Campground is one of 4 campgrounds that lie along State Highway 55, on the North Fork of the Payette River between Banks and Smiths Ferry. This campground has 4 units. One vault toilet is located within the campground. Three of the units have paved parking and can accommodate small to medium RV’s up to a length of 30 feet. All units have tables, grills and fire pits. This campground is heavily used by vacationers traveling through Idaho. No drinking water available.

Directions: ig Eddy Campground is located in Southwestern Idaho, 44 miles north of Boise. Take State Highway 55 north to Banks (35 miles). Proceed north on Highway 55 (9 miles) to campground. Watch for recreation signs.
