About: Kirkham Campground is set along Highway 21. The 1989 Lowman Fire burned through this area, leaving the campground with little shade. Some tables are covered with shelters.
The campground can be hot in the summer, but very nice in the spring and fall. The campground and hot springs are plainly visible below the highway which makes it a very popular stop for travelers. The rock and sand hot springs pools interspersed with a steaming waterfall come in all sizes, shapes, and temperatures.
Use is moderate to high during the summer months with many visitors stopping only to enjoy the hot springs. CAUTION: Some of the water is very hot and will burn! Nude bathing, soap, and dogs are prohibited in the hot springs!
