About: Emigration Campground is located in a forested setting just off of Idaho State Highway 36. The campground is in a quiet location with 23 single units and 2 double units with 2 group sites. The entire campground offers paved roads with back in spots capable of handling 40 foot trailers with pull vehicle. Adjacent to Emigration Campground is the High Line National Recreation Trail. This trail is open to all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, bikes, horses, and hikers. The High Line Trail is the premier trail on the Montpelier District. The trail is 55 miles long offering scenic vistas along the Bear River Range. The High Line National Recreation Trail intersects many other trails on the west side of the district. The High Line National Recreation Trail is currently being considered as a portion of the Great Western Trail, a trail system intended to span from Canada to Mexico.

Directions: Emigration Campground is located 17 miles west of Montpelier Idaho. Located on State Highway 36 in Emigration Canyon. From Montpelier drive west on US Highway 89 to Ovid, Idaho. At the Us 89 and State Highway 36 Junction take the right fork of the “Y” onto State Hwy. 36 Approximately 12 miles northwest on Hwy 36 is Emigration Campground. A left hand turn is required to enter campground.
