About: White Bird is located 16 miles south of Grangeville and 30 miles north of Riggins, Idaho. This is a quiet & safe area with Laundromat and two restaurants next door, a coffee & gift shop nearby, antique store 1 block and the Salmon River within 1 mile. Let us schedule your jet boat or white water rafting trips in Hells Canyon. Enjoy the Fiddler’s Fest in May and October, an ICA Rodeo in June and a community-wide yard sale annually.
Experience salmon, steelhead, Sturgeon, trout or bass fishing, plus big game & bird hunting, hiking trails, gold prospecting, ATV Club Outings, and Gun Club events. There are several absolutely wonderful museums nearby for a great ½ day excursion, not to mention a wonderful walking tour through the White Bird Battlefield on the edge of town, where the start of the Nez Perce war began.
