About: Steer Basin Campground is composed of 4 individual units on Rock Creek and is suitable for tent camping; there is limited space for motor homes and trailers. This area is accessible for a season that varies usually between April and October.
Campground amenities include a hand pump and handicapped accessible toilets. Fishing is available at nearby Rock Creek. A short walk south on Forest Road #515 is the Third Fork Trailhead which accesses a lovely multi-use trail which traverses the district. The trailhead has an accessible area and a stock loading ramp in the parking lot. To the north is the Harrington Fork Trailhead (#006). Harrington Fork Trail accesses First Fork Trail (#237) which climbs Harrington Peak before continuing south.
