About: Alturus Inlet Campground is composed of 28 campsites, including 5 double sites, on beautiful Alturas Lake; the campground is shaded by a mixed conifer overstory. The picnic area has two group sites, one of which can accomodate up to 50 people and the other which can accomodate up to 75. The picnic area is accessible.
Alturas Lake Picnic Area and Sandy Beach Picnic and Day Use Area are located at the north end of the lake. Canoeing and fishing is available on nearby Perkins Lake. Trails at the end of Forest Road 205 lead into the Sawtooth Wilderness. An ATV trailhead is within 0.25, but there is no ATV use in the campground. An ampitheater is available for group events or for interpretive programs. Spend sunny summer days fishing for trout, waterskiing, sailing, motorboating, swimming, and picnicking by the lake.
