About: The North Shore is composed of 15 campsites on beautiful Alturas Lake and is situated in a mixed conifer setting. A quiet seating area overlooks the lake. Canoeing and fishing is available on nearby Perkins Lake and trails at the end of Forest Road #205 lead into the Sawtooth Wilderness. An ampitheater is available for group events or for interpretive programs. Spend sunny summer days fishing for trout, waterskiing, sailing, motorboating, swimming, and picnicing by the lake.
