About: Located just minutes from Asheville, NC, in the Pisgah National Forest. Lake Powhatan Recreation Area is a heavily wooded campground on the banks of Lake Powhatan. Nearby to the WNC Arboretum, Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The maximum number of vehicles / people per site are 2 vehicles / 8 persons. Camping equipment must fit on the site. There is a $5.00 for each additional vehicle.

Directions: From I-26, take exit 33 (Old Exit 2), south approximately 2 miles on N.C. R 191 to the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area sign. Turn right and follow signs to campground.
