Elk City Park is nestled in the coast range mountains at the intersection of the Big Elk River and the Yaquina River. The park is located 22.5 river miles upstream from the mouth of the Yaquina, and is within tidal boundaries. Located in the quaint town of Elk City, it is a quiet low-traffic park with (12) twelve camping sites on two acres. The restrooms are wheelchair accessible and have flush toilets. A newly renovated dock and concrete boat ramp as well as horseshoe pits, barbeques, and good fishing keep the visitors coming back season to season.
A volunteer camp host is on site between the months of May to November for help and information. The campground and restrooms are closed during winter months, from November 1 to March 31, but access to the Yaquina River, parking and day use continues all year.
